Hi Alan, thanks for the kindly words.

I'm afraid they are no where near that stage yet!, but you can check the lyrics out on Roxyrama as I posted them on to Holly's reply page. I was going to buy a keyboard to work some chords out etc, but if its ok and you get chance I was wondering if you read them, you could tell if you think the structure is ok.

Sorry for the mis information

Kind Regards Anthony

Hi Alan, nice to speak to you.

Holly Cox on this website posted an idea to write a short story using Roxy Music/Bryan Ferry lyrics, there was a good response to her idea.
I don't want to appear as to forward but my idea was to write songs using lines from the lyrics as song titles.

I am no song writer although I do play classical guitar (self-taught for my sins!) and would be grateful if as a professional musician you would see if they have been worth the effort, or should I stick to learning chords and scales!

Thanks for your time,
Kind Regards
Anthony

That's great Alan. And, yes, make sure you include "The Thrill of it All". I remember seeing Bryan do a live version of this song during his Frantic tour - was fantastic. Of course, we are all waiting to see what Bryan will do next? Maybe a new Roxy album but I don't think it will be this year - he needs a rest.

Welcome Alan. Very interesting to hear that you are doing a release of Roxy Music songs. How popular do you think Bryan is in the US?
