- Of vintage years (46),deluxe and delightful,based in Glasgow. Been a fan from the very early days and been to see the band through all the interveening decades-- Glasgow, Manchester, London, Europe-- who knows where! Management consultant-- called the company Strandsky--and listen to something roxyish most days in life--- it keeps you young!!Especially like the early lyrics--a trip to the movies a drink or too-- and of course staying cool is still the main rule! Glad you liked the tunes I love Deaf School and thought the Original Mirrors were a really great band, I must get their compilation on cd.
I saw Mary chapin Carpenter with Shawn Colvin in Manchester, a great gig which kept me going back for more of her work.
Also am playing the new Emmylou Harris Album"All I Intended To Be"on rotation a real grower.
As far as Our own band goes, I rather like your idea of squawky animals, maybe a variety of small creatures, all differently pitched,placed in small cages
which when poked with a stick would make their particular noise.Then over the course of the tour they could be conditioned Pavlovian Style, whereby with the mere
approach of the stick, the animals would be squeeking or squawking like a good `un. With practice it could be rather like playing a Theramin
...simply wave your hands over the quivering creatures and Hey Presto!
