WHAT RATING WOULD YOU GIVE FOR EACH ALBUM SOLO & ROXYMUSIC
from what VP gave in 10/10 for each album on the Bryan Ferry solo albums. It gave me an idea and thought I would put this to ye .
how would you rate the first Roxy album .
Remake Remodel as it would have been named right down to Avalon and the same With Bryan's Solo albums I know this will be hard for some and for others it will be a doddle ,heres my ratings as they come from
the 1st album .
not easy believe Me when you have to rate them aswell so have fun.

No I didn't actually Rael, because I was lying in a hospital bed, very, seriously ill, so unfortunately I missed it!!! Everybody is entitled to their own opinions and I gave mine, which I am sure is the opinion of many others on this forum!!! Oh and by the way I've had my hearing tested many times have you????

For Rael was opinion---ated,
with chat that both offended and grated
So siobhan in the night
called him a "Gobshite"
but not for the albums he rated!
You see we come on here for some chat,
about music, sometimes this and that!
some photos and fun
a horse that can't run
Not insults and put downs You Prat!
And Americans come on here too
to share their opinion and view
from New York and L.A.
They will read this and say
"That Rael belongs down the LOO!"
And you think Bryan's voice is a whine
The rest of us think it is fine,
But all styles are served here,
though you talk out your rear,
maybe you've been out on the wine!
And maybe Janet's gone deaf
perhaps she has been on the meths
but now she is well
and she doesn't smell
of the crap that comes out with your breath!
So Rael please join in,have your say
or alternatively just go away

I didn't answer your post last night as I think, as Susan puts it, I would have used 'fighting words', and unlike you I didn't want to offend! I find your words very offensive simply because, since birth, I have in fact been hearing impaired, and have therefore had to have many hearing tests!!! If I had answered you last night , I think some of the comments you had made, I know which way you might have gone with your answer, and I don't think that would have been fair!!!
By all means come on to a forum and make your feelings known, but as TCM says ease your way in gently and don't offend people!! You weren't to know, but to that end , be careful what you say to people in your answers!!
Jim as usual a genius answer!! Couldn't have put it better myself!! I suggest you read it carefully Rael, as I 'm sure Jim has written how everyone of the members of this forum feel!! And I stand by what I said about Bryan's voice!!!

Hi Rael,
your posts do give you the demeanour of a man (boy?) who is rather snippy and uptight,your profile tells us little about you,
so we can only summize you either get your kicks from being a little too straightforward or assume it`s all a bit of fun and people shouldn`t
stress about it.
If either of these is true perhaps I could suggest easing your way in with a few more posts, so we can get the measure of your delivery
and would also suggest that on a forum dedicated to Roxy you`re on a hiding to nothing making some of your remarks in the manner you do...
I`m just a little mystified ... if you seem so disillusioned with BF why you`re here....we love a debate, but (I feel)there are ways to conduct them.........
Still you`ve certainly got me sharpening my pencil.....................

Ok, I have been a Roxy fan since 1972, so I can assure you I am a "true fan", I have every RM/BF etc. that has ever been released and some that I shouldn't have. That doesn't mean to say that I have to think everything that has been released is excellent...because it is not, giving 10/10 for everything is just being childish. Sorry if I have pissed anyone off but I am entitled to my opinion and if it differs from anyone else's then does that make me wrong?
Janet, sorry, how was I to know you had hearing problems?
Jim, you are a 46 year old Glaswegian (and Celtic man) and you are writing embarassing tripe like that?...good grief! you should get oot more.
Siobahn, the next time you write a reply get your Daddy to do it for you and please use punctuation marks...it makes it so much easier for the reader to decipher! You sound young so I am not going to even my wit with you.

Hi Rael,
I understand and completely agree with your right to prefer some of BF/Roxy`s work to others.It would be a little futile discussing albums etc.if it was all 10/10.
I personally had the feeling you were using a sledgehammer to crack a nut,on what is generally an easy-going, good natured forum.
I also felt and still do your remarks about BFs voice were a bit uncalled for....If I saw any artist perform live and felt they were past their sell by date, I do think I`d content myself with the old material I loved.
This forum tends to deal with the idea and anticipation of new, upcoming material(as well as the old) so for someone who feels as you do ,the idea of people raving about new stuff must make your enjoyment prospects here pretty bleak.....
Anyway I do hope sticking your hand into a hornets nest hasn`t completely put you off,I`m sure any of us would defend your right to free speech , just perhaps a little more Tactfully?
We`re sensitive souls us Ferry fans you know haha

Since I was a child, I've got used to having pr*** like you take the mickey out of me and my hearing, and I can handle it, but I don't think it is fair to offend people, in the way you have, when you don't know the first thing about them!!!
I definitely question 'true fan'!! Give your opinions by all means, that's what the forums about, but forget the slagging off!! It's not necessary and to me, and I would say all the other members, it's very offensive!!
Oh and by the way, as a Retired School Teacher and School Governor, I have checked the punctuation, and hope it meets with your satisfaction!!! I'll certainly be checking your spelling and punctuation from now on!! Red pen is at the ready!!!
And I also agree with Strictly Confidential!!! Avalon is one of my favourite albums, and I have loved RM and BF since 1972!!!
