Just thought after what happened on the best Top Five discussion, it might be fun to say what are your worst Top Five ( or 20!!!) songs from bands or solo artists!!! It will be a laugh to hear what your choices are!!!
My first one would have to be Eminem!!! After having to listen to it blasting from my daughter's cd player, when she was younger, I hate it!
I can think of so many but would love to hear what your choices are!!!
OK, You have all gone mad for the terrible novelty songs over the years. But how about awful songs from your favourite artists. I am going to risk being be-headed by starting with songs written/performed by Mr Bryan Ferry!
Four Letter Love
Oh Yeah (On The Radio)
Cry Cry Cry
My Little Girl
You Are My Sunshine
All Tomorrows Parties
Please note this is a tiny percentage of his body of work so no nasty emails please.
i agree so two to be linched
i always prefer roxy albums to ferry albums anyway
all you mentioned are bang on especially all tomorrows parties it made japans effort almost good
not keen on the another time another place album now i am being brave
I'll be brave as well & put my hands up to disliking the ATAP album, except for In Crowd & smoke Gets In Your eyes I rarely go by any critics reviews but I'm afraid to say I did give this one a miss as it irritated me.
But as for Taxi? I know there wasn't anything original on there, but loved his updated versions ( especially Will you Love me Tomorow - sang & performed with so much emotion ) & after waiting for him to finish what was later to become Mamouna I'd have listened to anything by him (except the above)
1. Long Haired Lover from Liverpool - 'Little' Jimmy Osmond
2. Seasons in the Sun - Terry Jacks (see comment below).
3. D.I.V.O.R.C.E. - Tammy Wynette
4. No Charge - J.J. Barrie
5. Grandma we Love You - St Winifred's School Choir
This list could go on & on...
* Seasons in the Sun was in the charts back in the days when singles could take weeks to reach number one. A mate heard it when it was about number 30, and commented that 'this is great - gonna be number 1 for sure'. My reply; ' it's sh*te and has NO chance of making number 1'. I gave up predicting number ones' shortly after.
btw - I quite like 'Chirpy, Chirpy Cheep Cheep, - cheesy and annoyingly catchy I know, but there you go...
