Hi Mark..
I've just been listening to 'Street Life' by Morrissey and suddenly remembered that you had a little one on the way, don't know why you sprung to mind, but has your new bundle of joy arrived yet? If so congratulations.......I can't seem to walk straight past one just lately...I have got to stop for a little look and a little AWWWWW!!! haha..

Did you manage to listen to any 'Smiths' or 'Morrissey'? you can be as brutal as you like, as I know its not everyone's cup of tea, I think Morrissey is a very acquired taste... you either like him or Don't, I don't think there is a middle with him.....anyway i will stop rambling on now, and go and do something useful!!!

Now your asking Mark....I have a few Fave albums of The Smiths/Morrissey...'The Queen Is Dread'...'Strangeways, Here We Come', Morrissey ..'You Are The Quarry' that seems a popular choice amongst the fans, but it is all about your own personal taste, but if you go on spotify ( A music listening site, if you are unaware ) and type in The Smiths or Morrissey or any other bands, you will be able to listen to the tracks before you go out and buy anything first, great little site too! and saves you wasting your money if your not too keen!!!

Haha, know what you mean about the patter of tiny feet, got two myself, son and a daughter completely chalk n cheese!!...and yeah suddenly your time isn't your own anymore, and things do take a back seat for a while....your band sounded interesting a cross between Simple Minds and Psychedelic Furs, both good bands, saw Simple Minds quite a lot live in the 80's and they are still going strong now, but don't give up on the writing and playing, There's still life after kids...sort of haha......and good luck with your new arrival, hope all goes well....... well that's me, all broody again!!! ha

Hi Mark...No problem, I am actually a big Morrissey fan going back to his "Smiths" days, so it was a real treat when I got wind of his Cover of 'Street Life'...and it is a decent rendition, if i do say so myself!!!
Notice you play the Oboe and Sax, are you in a band?, and are you as good as Andy Mackay? haha

Best wishes

Hi Mark,

Welcome to the site!

I have put the Morrissey track back at the top of my playlist if you want to go and have a listen, It did get a bit lost amongst the other tracks... unfortunately the track has not been recorded for general release, but if your struggling to get it, let me know!

Hope you enjoy the site!
