Well Feck me with a lava lamp and a packet of Dolly Mixtures!!!!! as Mrs Doyle might say!

I will have to see where else they are playing or skillfully negotiate around the school holidays to see where I will go and see them. How many business meetings can you have in the one summer where there are Music festivals?

No doubt like me you are all upgrading the national SAGA bus passes, dusting down the Pink rinses, articficial limbs, last years viagra, short sleeved tuxedos ( for the summer don't ya know ), Tom Ford Sun Glasses, Gucci underpants, the Christian Dior sun hat, and new batteries for the hearing aid!

Do you think BOSE will ever break into the hearing aid market? I wonder if any of the concerts will take place in a venue with a loop? And please God let there be seats for those of us awaiting the new Knee-- as with the current cut backs there is no chance of the old one being taken out before July.

Isn't it strange how folk with an artificial leg always have a spare one on which they keep One well polished shoe for special occasions? The other one being kept in a box and rarely worn, so much so it gives them bunions on the good foot! It's amazing the terrible oul shite you learn as you get older don't you think?

Jesus, the amount of oul bollocks and nonsense that's going to be posted on this site for the next few months is going to be huge-- isn't it great!!!

Mind you, the fella that wanted to know who played the steam Kettle on the B side of all I want is you while wearing spotted underpants whilst tap dancing on a bin lid can keep himself to himself!! There is just no need for that kind of a post-- he'll be getting the rest of us a bad rep with the groovy police who monitor these sites for the Government. Why can'y he just go on to a Quo site and find out who played a fourth chord somewhere over the last 30 years and why?

Summer Festivals.

I wonder what the record is for being the oldest person arrested at a musical festival whilst out of their head on Horlics and Marmite sandwiches??????????

Where do they go..................?

This is great news, I for one have bought my ticket and suggest everyone else does the same - lets show the kids how its done (horlics or no horlics!)

He's back !...Amen and halleluliah!!! Jim you are totally hilarious- any chance of a sip of the horlics and a bite of the marmite sandwich ?

Is a festival a muddy field type thing with less than comforting powder rooms ?

Now Shaz don't go acting the innocent on me-- pretending you don'y know that it is a line of horlics! and that you stick the marmite sandwich in the blender along with three measures of vodka, two of gin, a dash of soda, a splash of tequila and a lemon for an instant Marmitini!!!!!

Now as for the powder room? Now this is Roxy Music you are talking about here. Surely you can hold a pee in for them? Is that too much to ask? Should we be changing the name of the song to Strictly Incontinent? All I want is the loo? Saxaphone By Andrex Mackay? and I just won't comment on Both ends Burning!!!!!

I don't think it will be a muddy field job but who the hell cares if it is--bring your wellies--- I wonder if the artificial leg brigade have a second out door spare leg? What would you have on it? A Welly? A Galosh? A training Shoe? A Roller Skate?

Jaysus a Roller skate would be right handy don't you think? Imagine the scene-- especially you Mark! There you are, a grumpy old bugger with your artificial leg and your full length Kaftan carefully hiding the fact that the artificial leg has a roller skate on the foot. You are grumpily going about your business like Foggy, Compo or Cleg ( should that be Clog if you have just the one leg? ) when you suddenly start to get lippy abuse from the younger generation as you put it. Imagine the look on their faces when you give some good abuse back and then push off with the good foot and glide away at a rate of knots that they can't keep up with. Like a Jedi in the night!!!!

Jaysus what a laugh. I might just try it for the gas!!!!

Mind you take yerself back to 1972 and Virginia Plain et al. Imagine your reaction if the parents came in all exited and said " Right we're all off to see Max Bygraves in the Victoria Park in the summer!" You'd have chopped one of your own legs off never mind theirs!!!!

Now Val Doonican would have been a different matter if only for the chance of singing " The day Delaney's Donkey won the half mile race" at the top of your voice!

Do you know that him and Vic Damone are the only 2 showbiz stars who didn't get their initials on a private number plate?

This Horlics is Magic Stuff.

My dad loved ole Maxi B and mum still has a thing for Val O'Doonigan...can imagine them in the park ,1973 -having transported their own rocking chairs ,natch.
Now I think we have all been selfish...it's Bryan I'm worried about...standing in a park? what if it rains and he catches a chill and it turns into bronchial pneumonia...what if the steps are too steep ,or the stage to rickety or those horrible young people (not you Frazey) don't appreciate the icons of the 70's and make him feel unwanted....starting to stress out.....and no ,Jim I did not get the Horlics insinuation ??! but did wonder why such a master of the English (Scottish) language had mispelt Horlicks.

We live and learn on'Roxyrama'...Mark ! a kaftan to watch Roxy in ???

I only said Horlics because I can't spell Ovalteen!!!!!!!!!!

As for Bryan he can stock up on Fisherman's friends, Weatherer's originals and a few Victory V's. i am sure there will be no shortage of "Weemun" willing to rub Vicks on his chest if he catches a chill.

Anyway it will be summer-- the rest of us style gurus will be covered in Ambre Solaire n Coconut Oil with Designer Hankies on our heads!
