The Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music Social Network - roxyrama.org

Hi all , here's a question for you , If you could have one member of Roxy past or present over for dinner and a chat who would it be ? And what would you ask him or her ?

Being a drummer I'll have to go with TGPT , I would ask him what it was like to be back in Roxy after leaving in 1980 and who his favourite bass player he has work with ?

He also looks like he likes to have a laugh and wouldn't say no to having a few beers !!!

I would Like to ask Phil why he changed his name to Manzanera?

Was it because if He had used Philip Manzanera Target-Adams his initials would have been PMT?

Tom Jones used to sing about the Green Green grass of Gnome! did he not?

....It was in Delamere Forest in 2004 (I think it was 2004).

Bryan was touring with the Frantic album and had a number of summer outdoor dates in the UK. Unfortunately he developed very bad laryngitis and had to cancel quite a few concerts. A number of us (Kath and myself included) arrived at Delamere Forest for the show, heard a sound check in the distance and then were told that the show was cancelled! :-( This was at about 4.30-5pm. None of us could quite believe it was cancelled and wandered further into the forest towards the concert arena. Suddenly Paul appeared from a cafe/restaurant building and was so apologetic about the cancelled show. If I remember rightly he said that Bryan was so poorly he'd been taken off to hospital. He'd left his meal to come out and chat to the disappointed fans...what a real nice guy and a true gentleman.

Here's a picture of the occasion:
