The Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music Social Network - roxyrama.org

Hi all , here's a question for you , If you could have one member of Roxy past or present over for dinner and a chat who would it be ? And what would you ask him or her ?

Being a drummer I'll have to go with TGPT , I would ask him what it was like to be back in Roxy after leaving in 1980 and who his favourite bass player he has work with ?

He also looks like he likes to have a laugh and wouldn't say no to having a few beers !!!

Well, it would have to be a member who would allow follow-up questions.

Bryan on truth serum or a VERY large bottle of wine. Now where did I put that dictaphone?

Well if it was Bryan, I'd want to know if he regrets not recording Don't you forget about me-- and if he had recorded it what would it have sounded like?

I was thinking of more personal matters Jim !!

well, bryan obviously!

Q: will you perform 'psalm' at my funeral please?

My choice would be Bryan, and my question would be a personal one, and might sound a bit odd!

Q: on Goddess of Love Did you get the inspiration for the line "All the best things in life are free" from a fan who wrote these words to you in a card that was handed to you at the Manchester Apollo on the 'As Time Goes By' tour?

If so where are my royalties? haha

Actually this is very true, when Frantic was released and I heard the song, I felt quite spooked, and immediately thought of the card, I wrote a few things in it, and this line was one of them, more than likely just pure coincidence, but it still has me thinking each time I hear it, so that would be my question to him.

Told ya it was odd, but very true!

Hey Nellie,

If you follow that logically-- you could be the Goddess of Love-- or at least the inspiration for her.

I've always thought that Bowie owes me a few quid for the laughing Gnome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cor, Imagine that Jimbo, what an honour that would be, hang on, I've co-written a song with Bryan and not been paid for it!!! haha

I've never met Bryan but on the night of the show one of his security men who I handed the card to came back to me and give me the thumbs up so I know he received it.

You, the laughing Gnome? Never!!!! well your not a Gnome anyway!!!
