I have not seriously considered seeing a Roxy tribute band - as I have thought just not quite the ticket . There is one I have heard about Roxymagic - which plays all over but does have some gigs in my area - the Midlands - has anyone seen them - or any other tribute band ? If so were they any good. Hope its not too heretical a subject - just curious. I did see an Elton John tribute - he was quite good. As Bryan and the boys are being sooooo slow in coming up with the new album and no tour in sight and Bryan with no dates in the UK - thought it might provide a a distraction.............

Colette!!! :-) Our very own Anthony Price! How are you?? The specs are holding up well, no bits dropping off as yet. Had so many comments about them and it's all thanks to you :-) x
Hmm - You're assuming much but I'll wear them if Fin dresses like Clive Dunn, oops Graham Simpson.

Hi Sue,
well I will definitely be there as I am the lead guitarist! Look forward to meeting you. Hopefully Roxybabes Kath, Jo and Jeanne will be there too so make youself known :-).
hi sue there are a bunch of us going to cannock to the tackaroo so come over and say hello you will know us when you see us i am kath and along with ann josey jeanne used to be known as the roxybabes but as times goes by we are now roxyladies i have been going to see magic since their very first gig in bristol right up to saturday night at worcester i consider myself a die hard roxy music bryan ferry fan and have travelled all over the world to see bryan and roxy i was impressed at the very first gig and have continued to be impressed wowed amazed at the way that magic have progressed over the years they give an amazing performance each time i see them i have taken a few of my friends who are not roxy fans and even they were knocked out by the performance given by the guys, but it was my great pleasure to be at the frome gig to meet chris turner and by the comments he made it seemed he was suitably impressed by the performance they had given, so i say to anyone who have not already seen roxy magic to go see them you will not be disappointed

Hi Sue
Can't make Cannock....too far away from coal mines Ha,Ha ....Would love to see Roxy Magic , they sound brilliant...Have to say Roxyrama are also brilliant . Will be at the New Roscoe in Leeds on 26th Nov ...if any other members can make it ,shall we meet up in the bar ?...let me know ...Fin ,make sure Mr O Ferry wears the white Tux !!!
My wap site's dead i'm building a website streetlife http://www.ferresque.yolasite.com i'm compiling a linking site to tribute bands and artists web and myspace and youtube sites and bryan ferry and roxy music and chris turner's myspace and website and twitter page. Hope this helps.
Funnily enough Sue,just joined this site today, and was looking at tribute bands...I've never seen a Roxy/Ferry one-prob like you,I've always thought I wouldn't enjoy it, i'd be too critical, but I saw two today.
The first was a Leeds band ,as mentioned here-Roxyrama,who are good, but
I liked a band called Remake/Remodel from Rotterdam.Saw some video's of them playing the early stuff from the debut Roxy album, very good musicians & the lead singer tried his best to replicate BF's unique singing voice.. Martyn

You saw two today? Live or on youtube?? Saw Roxy Magic live for the first time last week and it was hugely enjoyable - not Roxy of course but an absolute delight to see the music celebrated and played with sheer appreciation and skill - For Our Pleasure...
